For Solarization and Rehabilitation

Samburu County Governor H.E. Hon. Lati Lelelit flanked by Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Resilience, Environment and Food Security Mia Beers, alongside the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) team and Partnership for Resilience and Economic Growth (PREG) partners , today graced the groundbreaking ceremony for solarization and rehabilitation of Nomotio dam water treatment plant supported by USAID STAWI through SAWASCO. The project was funded by Feed the future through USAID.The project will boost water supply, extend service hours and improve access to safe water to residents of Maralal Municipality. The installation of 20KV solar power system will reduce energy costs and improve pumping hours.
